On the nose, clear cooked Agave tones in a beautiful balance with herbs and hints of citrus and cucumber. On the palate, it begins relatively smooth and sweet with a medium body. Ends with a slight bitterness that resembles chocolate. Exists smoothly with slight elements of pepperiness but with clear agave sweetness.

Buen Vato is founded by the environmental engineers at AliasSmith, a company that has been working on distributing Mexican spirits across Europe since 2004. We are a group of engineers and creatives specialists in Mexican spirits, constantly participating in programs and initiatives related to social performance and carbon footprint, being active in this matter opened our eyes to some of the problems facing our industry. We took part in the Swedish beverage industry’s climate initiative (DKI) to help improve our distribution network’s carbon footprint. This also made us think about our packaging and the environmental impact of glass bottles. We knew there was a solution to reducing the environmental impact of the industry as it is today. And we wanted to prove to the world that even something as traditional as tequila could be innovative, without sacrificing quality. It was clear something needed to be done. The industry needed a Buen Vato!
Production details
The agave used in production is grown in the plains outside Amatitán just east of the town of Tequila, which often provides both citrus and herbs. The family's cows and horses graze on the agave fields which is one of the reasons herbicides and pesticides are not used.
