Lagrimas Añejo has been made with wild Cenizo agaves that have been found on the large vast lands of Durango. This mezcal is a perfect balance of traditions and old methods combined with new materials. The Milling of the agaves is done by a machine, but the cooking is still traditional in an underground conical oven with volcanic rocks. The aging is done in American white oak barrels. Maestra Mezcalera Fabiola Avila Valenzuela is the brain behind this wonderful mezcal and the distillery.
