“Groovy highland tequila with a lot of power from the barrel - almond, vanilla, butterscotch, caramel and chocolate.”
Amber. Very obvious notes of vanilla and butterscotch. Some fruit, but with relatively little agave character. Begins with soft caramel, released in almond, vanilla and some sweet, long finish with some oak, pepper, caramel and milk chocolate. A groovy Añejo with predominantly barrels character.
It serves best as a digestif in Riedel tequila glass or with a bit sweeter cocoa filled chocolate. Perfect as a base in a luxurious Gran Margarita.
Tequilas del Señor grow their agave in Los Altos and supplements with agave from the lowlands. Their distillery on the outskirts of the beautiful Tlaquepaque in Guadalajara. Tequila from Tequilas del Señor has not fruitiness of which is usually found in the highlands tequila, but definitely the sweetness that is so characteristic. Agave strain, the pain, pressure-cooked in an Autoclave, providing pleasant aromas from the raw agave.
