Golden amber color with hints of red. Herby, floral, with hints of tar tablets. Beginning relatively soft and pretty with honey, moving on to become relatively dry and finish with peppery and well-balanced smokiness. A perfect alternative for those who like slightly smoky malt.

cocktail Best enjoyed as a digestive / Avec served cool (about 16 ° C) in Riedel tequila glass. We recommend trying it for smoked meat and smoked fatty fish (salmon or mackerel, herring, eel).

Tequila Tres Toños the brand
Tequila Tres Toños the brand
Los Tres Toños is the Reynosos family's Crown Jewel brand. Founded by Don Dionisio, father to Roberto and Fernando. The Brand was meant to represent the families legacy, as fourth generation agave farmers, focusing on the raw material and processing it in the traditional way that gives the smoky flavour. Los Tres Toños will allways be a true agavero Tequila, not fancy, just honest.
Production details
The agave used in production is grown in the plains outside Amatitán just east of the town of Tequila, which often provides both citrus and herbs. The family's cows and horses graze on the agave fields which is one of the reasons herbicides and pesticides are not used.

Manufacturing and aging

Los Tres Toños made in a special way - parts of the agave used is baked in a brick oven and the rest are slightly roasted in a pressure cooker, giving their tequila a more or less distinct smokiness. The Fermentation of the extracted juices is performed in open stainless still basins and the distillation in big stainless steel pot stills. The aging of Los Tres Toños is done in an overground warehouse containing more than 1000 barrels. All of them were bought on the second or third-hand market and restored. Wandering in the warehouse you will find Grand Marnier, Woodford Reserve, and barrels from distilleries that stoped existing thirty years ago. When doing a batch of Los Tres Toños aged varieties the master blender picks from several different barrels to get the true Tres Toños flavor.
